Ignitor and or ignition coil.
Depending how handy you are you can test there resistance of these parts when the distributor assembly is taken apart and if they are below OEM spec you know they are shot.

This almost describes my exact problem when I first got my car, it would turn on sometimes and sometimes not. I believe this is a sign of the parts on their way out.
