Hey guys,
Thanx for the response, I appreciate them... So, I took a look at my caliper once I had it off and opened up and it was the sliders, I just lubed them and now it seems to be fine, before it was rough travel and not too good but now it seems to be fine.....Ie once i opened the bleed nut and depressed the caliper itself I could barely move the one part of the caliper ( not sure of the name, but your know how there are two parts and one slides on two rails), but once those rails were lubed a bit it was ngiht and day...
I do hwever have an issueI'd like to ask about....
I did the brakes yesterday, rotors and pads for the fornt, and my main issue was the fact that the grinding was occuring on the dirvers side brake and the rotor had been scored big time...Well now tha tI have my new rotors and pads on that brake is awesome, but my passenger side is now making a grinding noise slightly.....
Just cause I knwo its not the same problem as the other one was ill give you some better information.....First, I did this job last gnith when everything was closed, and i didnt get any mroe brake fluid to top up with, cause I actually needed to drain a fair bit when I was depressing my calipers, my brake light is now on, I think its cause of the low fluid, can anyone confirm this?....Secondly, the grinding only occurs when im coasting, it goes away when imbraking or accelerating....could this be because the brake is in loose state, do to fluid, and is maybe just opened up too much when there is no force on it, making the actual caliper bars (those two bars that are above where you put the pads in, i dont know their name) are maybe grinding a bit on the inside of the caliper? Thirdly, there seems to be a slight knocking sound as well coming form that brake......
I know im new to this but this job wasn't complicated adn I followed all the proper steps and made sure i tightend everythign right when putting everythign back together, I dont understand what my issue is or whats causing this..
Any help would be very appreciated, thanx
