It accelerates fairly well up to 3k in every gear fine then either maintains speed or even slows down as the rpms go up. Yet, the engine keeps revving up (along with tach). If you have a manual, then there is a direct likage between the engine and the driving wheels... This means that the rpms cannot possibly go up if the car is slowing down, unless the clutch is slipping...
But you say it has <15k on it? Either it wasn't replaced properly or it is defective.
