I just recently purchased a 96 integra with a B18B1 with an automatic. Great looking car but it does have a lot of miles on it. I could rebuild the motor and tranny for about 1300 for the parts or I was wondering about the japanese motors and trannys that are advertised. Are they any good or do they have problems with trying to adapt them to the american cars? I just want this to be my daily driver so I am not interested in doing any mods. Just wondering if anybody has done any replacement engines and trannys with the so called low mileage japanese engines and trannys and if so what were the problems? Also anybody have any particular company they recomend to get the parts from?
