Alright ppl this is my dilema. My 97civic just blew a rod through the back of my oil pan and block. Its my daily driver, but looks sick. Anyway, i looked at some jyards and found a d16y8 from a 00civic for $650 and a d16z6 from a 94civic for $300. I know obdI is better than obdII but I need the car asap cause I am trying to move from ny to pa for UTI. Can do more things when I have time and money, but right now I need a whip.

What I need to actually know is if the y8 from the 00 will be a quick swap to my 97? Or will I have to change anything (wireing harness, intake manifold, etc.). I was also thinking of changing the cam gear and shaft to skunk2 adjustable, but dont know if it will make hp gain. If ya know, let ME know!!
