yea..the preludes have a cable type set up while the tegs have the linkage set up....

the linkage set up is way heavier and is solid all the way from the tranny to the shifter and have no type of flexibility to absorb and get rid of vibration
cables are flexible and could absorb vibration as we all know. the lude has this type set up so imo this is why theres no vibration...

about the short shifter..i love mine...it helps a lot if u speed shift and all that good stuff...

and about the play on the shifter...if its a short shifter already you might need spacers w/ some washers...but if its the stock shifter then its your bushings..= ] good luck..
