In Italy they have lots of gypsies that come up to you with a piece of paper and ask you if you speak English(Then they give you a piece of paper asking for money, or just random crap while about a dozen kids come up and rob you). Myself and a few of my friends would always respond in long sentences saying how we are sorry but we don't speak English, but perhaps a nice gentleman working at the supermarket might.
