No it's not. It's a learned behavior. If you were to put children together before their parents got to them you would see them unfettered by the prejudices of their parents, or the adults around them. They (the children) would play with whoever is there. Unfortunately we can't raise children in such a sterile environment and they have to learn from us, their parents and other adults, and become prejudiced.
