Generally for people with automatics ask them why they swapped for an H22 and a majority will say cause their auto tranny was on it's way out.

How else can you justify it? $2,000 for a rebuild just to have it fail again cause nobody can seem to rebuild a Honda tranny properly. Then have them not warranty it cause your car is modded.

Otherwise if your motor is junk or you got high miles is another good reason to swap. If you got under 100k and the car is running fine I wouldn't do a swap. I'd sell it for something faster. Once your tranny starts slipping or you got over 100K you can't sell/trade the car for a fair price so you make the best of it.
