if you compare comperable sc's from Vortech..and from Procharger...the procharger is going to make more hp..prochargers use billet impellers...vortech doesnt...the honda SC from Procharger is a sealed unit..doesnt need external oil lines..the Vortech does..Procharger's are by nature more efficient...http://www.procharger.com/h2hdt.shtml
that i think should show a bit of the differences in the two...granted its on a Ford Mustang...but it gives you an idea of just how effecient the Prochargers are...they can be spun harder, and last longer, flow more CFM, and produce a cooler charge of air...http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/units/
there is the links to what models are offered by both Vortech and Procharger...if you look at Vortech's highest flowing SC the
VORTECH V-4 XX-TRIM SUPERCHARGER has a max boost of 29psi, 1850cfm, and max impeller speed of 58,000rpm....Prochargers biggest boosting SC the F-2M, it makes up to 40Lbs of boost, flows upto 2250CFM, and has a max impeller speed of 68,000 rpms....thats a lot if you ask me....but i guess someone will have to do a comparison on a dyno to show which system is better than the other...sorry to go off on a tangent...if you read what is listed...u should see that the prochargers are a better sc overall...
