Well you would be correct about the 1000rms for 1 farad. But sqsi stated, capacitors wont fix your problem, they are more or less a bandaid on a stab wound... A cheaper way would be to upgrade the big three, and run a 2nd battery. I am curious however what are you running that takes 2400 watts?
