my friend was having the exact same problem with pigeons. they liked his back yard because there is a huge tree where they perch/nest. those bastards were also eating his dogs food and shitting all over the place.
his solution was to buy a bb gun an execute them sniper style through the screen door. he was pretty accurate. problem solved.
