And my other point is one that had been disputed for quite some time. I KNOW this is the basement so it is supposed to be off topic, and I understand that it isn't a wild west lawless area either. There ARE rules and certain threads that can be there.
We ALSO have an ON-TOPIC area, where threads that cant be destroyed and are forced to stay on a serious topic are made. That is an excellent idea. I believe in the last couple of day two or three threads got moved from the Basement to either the On Topic or a Technical area because they weren't created following the more-nonsense-then-not trend of this forum.
But then why is it John makes a serious U.N. thread in here... and keeps it here. When I post in there saying "Why doesn't this get moved to the On-Topic area, like all the others are?"... he replies saying "No one goes to On Topic" and goes ahead and erases my post for no reason! How can these double standards be applied? It boggles the mind that someone who is so adamant on the rules and preserving the wholesome family values of Honda-Acura.net won't even follow his own rules. The biased behavior shouldn't be tolerated and in my opinion is wholly unacceptable.
If you want to keep it strict... do it across the board. Don't pick and choose cases and people to enforce and then let the others slide. I know I am here by my own free will and I am able to leave whenever I want... but dammit I've been here for 7 years as well and this isn't just a current trend. 98% of the time I don't have a problem here... but as soon as anything controversial happens it's automatically assumed mods are right and everyone else isn't. The biased God complex has to go. :dunno:
Thats just my two cents. I love this place and wouldn't have been here for so long if I didn't. The people here are what have kept me here, and I enjoy coming here with the sense of community that it has. I just don't want to see this place go to hell because some people decided that rules only apply to some and not to others.
