I would get some PB blaster and soak down the hardware on the rear if I were you. Being that you live in TX and the rear has probably never really been worked on since all the mechanics of power are up front, I am willing to bet that the bolts are nice and comfortable where they are and probably don't want to budge due to the elements of living in the South.
