No. It still has all the stickers on it for some reason and it is almost 3 years old. But I just reformatted it and put in a new disc drive last summer.
There are probably 2 screws on the back...usually the right side (looking at front of case). Those are the screws for the side panel. Remove those, then slide the panel towards the back and voila...pops right off.
