If the system was overloaded you would risk damaging whatever component the fuse is going to. I can't really think of any way the electrical system would get overloaded besides a busted voltage regulator on the alternator, which happened to me once. My battery was pushing 20V at 2000RPM :rofl: I was so afraid my airbags were going to explode or I was going to fry my ECU when I drove to autozone to get a new alt
