Truly, if you just want a fast car for not too much cash, look at a Camaro or something with a V6 turbo. A $6000 beat-up 3000GT (VR4 of course)can come within a car's length of a WS6, so with a few mods it would be good competition. And 1998 and newer Camaros have just a little bit less HP than a WS6 so with a few mods it would stand a chance beating or at least sticking with the WS6. The Firebird is heavy which holds it back a little bit, but it has 320 HP with 345 torque, it's just a beast, so don't feel bad when your "friend" teases you because he can beat you with a 15 thousand dollar car. Be happy that you got a car that is going to save you thousands of dollars on gas, was probably 10k cheaper than his, and is going to last 150k miles more than his.
