my younger brother and i use to make little caterpillar colonies. we'd get a pot, fill it up with leaves and small branches and put the caterpillars in to play. i thought they were pretty cute and furry back then. if i saw one now, i'd probably be grossed out.

i don't think i've seen a caterpillar in ages though. i wonder why.
