Don't know much about automatic trannies, but I do know one thing about Vigor A/Ts -- for some strange reason, Honda brand ATF has cured a LOT of harsh shifting problems. Vigor trannies that were condemned by local tranny shops shifted great after a flush and refill with Honda brand ATF.

Don't know if this'll help here, but it's not a bad place to start. It's also a good thing to keep in mind for the future.
