This will be interesting to see but I bet in the course of the next 3 years it goes by way of WWF meets RAW as far as the soap opera stories go and the fighters, although still taking a beating, will be nothing more than action heros just like the movies.
Are the Fertitta brothers associated with the mob? I know there was speculation about the Pride owner being associated with the mob. So if that was the case then Pride would have been scripted to suit bets. As far as I know or I havent heard of the Fertitta brothers having mob connections. No offense to you but for the sake of MMA I hope you're wrong. I really would hate to see it go that way. I cant stand WWF for the reasons you have mentioned. Boxing is cool but I like the versatility of MMA.
