What if you don't hit the turbo very often, does it still affect your mileage much? Sort of like VTEC's affect on mileage if you are gunning it all the time. Is just the presence of the turbocharger going to lower your mileage? I get killer mileage in my 6th gen, I got 35mpg on my last tank, no lie. I just installed a K&N and it instantly gave me 2 more MPG (up from 33). Granted I need to fill up more than once to get a good statistical analysis, but I'm happy so far. I'd hate to screw my mileage with anything, let alone a turbo. But I suppose it's the price you pay huh?

Thing about the VTEC is you can get up to those high RPM's when you need the power but can take it easy if you don't. I always figured a turbo is a little like that too but I could be wrong.
