Default VECI Label?

PREVIOUS POST:

I just purchased an 84 prelude with 80000 miles. After test driving it a couple times I decided it was a good car and bought it. I have since noticed that after a cold start (0 degrees) it will with no consistant pushing of the gas pedal the idle will fall until it dies. After another start it runs ok; but i noticed that the RPMs when it idles are very inconsistant and some time fluctuate.

Its seems to idle high (2000 rpm) at the beginning of a trip and in the middle of the trip it will stay steady at (1500 rpm).

Sometimes it will fluctate between 850 and 1200.

Any ideas????

I have been looking at a Haynes book on for older model civics (all I could find right now). In investigating the IAVC in the book they mentioned an EAVC, no IAVC.

Is this the same?

Also the book says to reference the VECI label for recommended (i think) RPMs
Where is the VECI label?

How similar are the Civic and Prelude Repair manuals?

I am looking at Adjusting the idle speed.

I am pretty sure that 84 Prelude ar not fuel ingected models. So maybe the EACV and IACV dont apply.

I apologize I am not the least bit familiar with this model of vechile.
