the gsr intake manifold is of a "dual runner nature".
a longer path with smaller passages for the air to travel into the engine is good for low end torque.
a shorter path with larger passages is good for high end output.
the gsr intake manifold allows both advantages (to an extent)
at 4400 rpm, both the long and short paths are opened so to speak. i cant think of a diagram to post off the top of my head so maybe someone else can help you guys out.
