Victor Entertainment has announced that their "Vocal and Voice Audition" has a specific purpose: finding the heroine for the next Macross series. No new announcements have been made with regard to the new series itself, but the auditions are still underway.

Applicants must submit a recording of two songs and two pictures, along with the official application form. Applicants who pass the first screening will be asked to try out in person by performing a song and reading lines of dialog.

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the series, Big West has renewed the official Macross website
