Yeah, you may be able to make more power than a B18C if you have a properly built LS/VTEC but it won't last.
Why do you think Honda spent tons of $$$ developing the B18C, designing it for high rpm use, when they could have just slapped the VTEC head onto the LS block?

It's pretty clear that you have never put an ls/vtec together because it's way more than "slapping" a vtec head onto an ls block. And the only thing you have to do to make it a reliable daily driver is use GSR or Type R rod and crank bearings because they were DESIGNED for extremely high rpms from the factory
