I completely agree with what Del. Frank D. Hargrove said. No white person alive in the US ever owned slaves and no black person alive in the US has ever been a slave. Yes it was horrible but I think that people do need to get over it and concentrate on current issues. For example, more black people are killed in the US every year by other black people then were killed by white people during all of slavery in the US.

And what exactly does this "Formal" apology do. If Virginia really needs to vote on whether or not they are sorry it happened then that state has some serious problems.
