The only draw back of the SI is that it's non-vtec

Yeah you can do a "frankenstein" on the H22 head/H23 block, but it's cheaper to just swap in an H22

My advice would be to find a 92-95 lude and swap in a H22A, that way you'll know the engine has less miles then if you bought a 93+ Vtec.

You should be able to find one for under 4k, I bought my 92 for $700 and after I changed the engine, I haven't had a problem with it since (over 2 years).

Theres was only one variation of the H23 and all Si's are rated the same

If you're lucky you might find a 4ws lude, aren't to many 4th gens. with 4ws, but expect to pay a little more if you find one.

And if you plan on turboing it, stick with the H23
