Default Where The Nitrous? missing the <3

Ok so we have a tell all article on turbos, LS VTEC, Engine rebuilds, and everything else inbetween, but not one on nitrous, so i want to try to get some things started here, we need to educate, and learn, clear up some rumors.
i know a little bit and have some questions.

1) is it true nitrous is relitively safe at lower shots like 50 as long as you have the fuel system to back it up, i know that nitrous oxide breaks down at engie temps releasing its oxygen content, giving you the ability to stuff more fuel into it, so you blow your engine when you lean it out.

2) are you supposed to hit the at a certain RPM or whats the best time to hit it, or can you just hold it the whole time?
also are the computerised release systems worth the money,
and which one WOT micro switch or push button?

3) ok dry, wet, or direct port? i hear that the we kits have a intercooler affect by cooling the intake air, and the dry is the least effective/efficient i know the direct port it a great choice because it also injects fuel with the nitrous, thus stopping the engine from running lean, but i have not even seen these kits, do they even exist?

this is supposed to be an ask all tell all thread, so if anyone has questions too, just ask, and any info would be greatly appreciated, i just figured it was a good topic to discuss.
