I'm just saying that it could be. On mine, the battery connection is clean, tight and treated with the red spray. I just did this before winter so that was the last place I was looking. I even measured the battery with my meter and it was showing normal. But when I grabbed the cable, everything came to life. The ends near the battery connection are pretty green, so I would imagine that there's enough corosion inside there to cause the loss of current.

I need my car for work Monday also, so I'm going to Autozone to pick up a cable they have for $7 and make it work.
