my thoughts on this are that ya know it really is horrible that something like this would happen with the technology we have today. but its not all that surprising. the fact that the families want to blame the pilots is understandable but they should realize its not like these guys knew there were allies there and still fired, and they stopped the minute they found out and they sound like they were instantly remorseful and upset over what happened.
i honestly see no reason to hold any sort of criminal trials or inquiries...find out why it happened and fix it so it doesnt again..dont blame the soldiers following orders in a jet going 200+mph who are told there are no friendlies in the area
