I do my own virtually for free. They have resourses online like at

www.irs.gov that provide free e-filing. Unless you have a complicated filing, there's no sense spending money to file them. I think the state filing may have a minimal fee but nothing like an accountant. If you're employed with not major assets like a home or major interest bearing investments this is a great route. Takes a few min to fill out and you electronically file and you can check the status of the return whenever you want.
