It only takes about 20 minutes of time and you could potentially save up to 4 people's lives with one blood donation. It's not a traumatic experience and there almost isn't any pain. What I hate the worst is when they rub the iodine on your arm/inside of your elbow with a q-tip, tickles like crazy.
