Thanks for the tips - just to clarify, when you say pull the "plate" off the intake manifold, are you talking about removing the EGR valve from the intake manifold, or pulling the entire intake manifold and removing some sort of plate? I'm pretty good at turning wrenches but this is my first EGR job - I understand how it works in principle but haven't taken the top end off this engine yet.
