To be perfectly honest, if someone has 6700 bux in additional money to spend on the car, unless they are really drivin to find performance out of a honda, i would strongly suggest adding it to the purchase of another vehicle. It might not turn out as fast or as personalized as modding a honda to that extent, but after doing all that i've done with my own, i kinda wanna play with something else sometimes.
yea except: i dont have an area to work on my car/ i dont have the tools needed/ i dont have the expirience to do my own 'forging'/ i don't have a place to store my shit( a f*ked up little storage box is going to cost money anyhow and i don't want to run to it every time i want a piece of a clip/motor) / i don't have tools to forge anything larger then a butterfly/
edit: I do understand your take on buying a new car though. My condition with the mechanic is if i can watch over what i'm doing, and if it's a small shop i dont see why not, and he's pretty down to earth to let me. If he doesn't i'll think about not doing it. But if i can see it done i can do it myself that's how i've learned everything in my life. Buying another car will not be the same for me, as i need a performace honda =) i like hondas as sad as that sounds.
Take that into the equation and you got money flying all over the place. And i'm sorry but i didn't know you can forge your own pistons, rods, valve springs, cranks, mounts, suspenssion, exhaust. If you can, then i'll think about believing this $3k myth.
And your welcome to buy a b16 block/rods/pistons/bore it/ springs/ and a garrett turbo and weld it so i can keep my a/c and p/s. IF you can do all this i'd give u $3k and another $1.5k just because i'm generous for the amount of work i'm getting.
