I'm looking to pick up a serviceable watch. I want one with a perpetual calendar, which means something Swiss that costs several thousands of dollars, or something Japanese for a couple hundred. So yeah, I'm going the Japanese route. None of the choices really pops out to me as particularly good looking, but let me know if you like any of these.
