I'm with Reno on this one.

Pimps weren't a hit on a single race, it was more of a taboo occupation during a time frame.

When I think Pimp, I don't immediately draw a conclusion to a black person.

Goldfish shoes, Caddys, and the slang are just a part of the "over the top" lifestyle portrayed.
