yeah, you have to burn more than you consume too.
Most of your calorie burning comes from sitting around. Your body naturally does it. Exercising really only burns a small percentage of total calories. Technically if you eat right and work out a little bit you will lose weight (if you're overweight). The idea is to keep your metabolism as high as possible. So 6 meals a day does just that, add in some exercise and you're on your way to being lean.
To gain muscle is a different story all together.
