Exactly! I don't care if someone's driven golf carts/go karts/trackers/whatever or gone joy riding...you gotta learn to drive on the road and drive safe. With driving, it's not so much if you can drive, it's how other people drive and how to react to them when they screw up. And one of the worse things you can do is concern yourself with going fast.
Also, doesn't seem like you have a huge ammount of money to spend and I don't know if you or your parents are gonna pay for your insurance, but (young/new drivers + fast "sports" cars != money in your pockets). Civics are good to keep the insurance down.
