I could have sworn BMW USA said no to the 1 series just a year or two ago. h:
The never said no to the entire 1 series line. They said no to the 5 door hatch version... which happen to be the only body style available.

There should be a 1 series 3dr hatch and 4 door sedan for sale in late 07 as 08 models.
