When I first started driving that's all we had...RWD never had any problems if you used common sense. Add a little weight to the trunk and a good set of snows you are all set. We used to get lots of snow here in Michigan and I lived a lot farther north right off of Lake Huron.

The problem is that most of you "kids" learned to drive FWD cars and can't finise an RWD to do what you want it to. I've been driving my 1989 325i all around in the winter no matter what the conditions and haven't had any problems.
