ah, gotcha.
the only thing you might want to look into is if your current box has an HDMI out. If so, you'll go from 5 component cables (analog), to 1 (digital).
when the signal reaches your cable box, it's in a digital format. There's a signal conversion from digital to analog when using component cables. HDMI is pure. No conversions at all.
