Friendzone does exist. It's actually not so bad. If she has good-lookin friends, you get more at-bats

I think it had a lot to do with when (timewise up to 1979 I was 29 when I got married) I was single though. Sex was a lot more freely given without trying to commit because of wanting to have sex. It seemed that it was just an appropriate action at times for both parties and nothing was expected to come of it. At the time I also lived in a resort town and worked in hotels, and had lots of opportunities to meet new women everyday. Life was a lot more casual then, or so it seems, or it just may have been the people that I managed to hang out with. Even when I met my wife while we were both single we had sex with others and knew of it and it didn't get in the way. Once we decided that there was a commitment to each other that ended casual sex with others. I always was ready to give a shoulder to cry on if needed and my female friends could talk to me without worrying about me spilling the beans on them.
