im pretty sure i upset this girls bf this weekend

this girl is one of my best friends, her and i get together prolly twice a week and we go out to the bars one weekend a month even though we live an hour apart.

well anyways as a christmas gift to her im taking her to see john mayer in february. and apperently for christmas her bf got a pair of tickets to the same concert from his parents and asked her to go with him.....only to find out i already am taking her and have way way better seats than him. needless to say he wasnt happy.

valid reason for him to get angry? i dont think so, what do you guys think?
