I used to think that way but then I took a walk off the beaten path of mainstream Country that everyone hears all the time. You have to listen to some of the little known artists that are truely singing from the heart. Some of the stuff falls into the folk category because noone knows how to categorize it. It also helps not to listen to top 40 country, one of the girls in my Radio Broadcast Production class was playing some really good stuff that's not out there on the country stations, or CMT because it's not pop country.

BTW I am not a fan of country music.
