That's a beautiful looking cluster you got there Mugenfreak, i like... and a good write up by the way, pictures make it alot easier doesnt it
I pulled apart my cluster today and had a closer look inside and found out a few things actually... 1st. the bulbs actually shine amber and that is why it glows amber at night obviously (for mine anyways), 2nd. the back of the gauge faces are white from behind so i guess what ever color bulbs you put in there will shine that color if im not wrong, 3rd. I will need three size different bulbs in there... TWO will be the top ones that go above the cluster which one of is wired up (i dont know what size they are, could someone please tell me), FIVE will be behind the cluster that shine the faces (these are T5 size) and ONE big that is connected to one of the small ones at the top (that is T10 size bulb)...
Now i went to an auto store here locally and they had a packet of T5 LED bulbs that just fit in the base of the existing bulbs, which is awesome but because they had flat head base i didnt know if they will shine broadly instead of just directly so its shines the whole cluster so i didnt purchase them to waste my money as they wouldnt accept refund *tight asses*...
Ive included some pics of my cluster here and as you can see one of the pics is taken from top view to show you the thin film that Mugenfreak was talking about that you will need to change (if im right), but also i think that you will have to change the back 5 bulbs as well to get the total light effect you want.. I will do it very soon and show you how mine will look like
