Swap Nightmare!!!!! Help!!! Please!!!!
I hope you are ready to read alot and then hopefully help me out here. Here it goes.
I have a 90 civic dx hatchback with dual point injection.
I bought a 90 integra LS engine (B18A1) with ecu (PR4), 5 spd tranny, and shift linkage. It has lower mileage (about 65000).
I took the car and Ls stuff to a local import garage for the swap( Top Speed Garage in Naples, Florida). That was 3 weeks ago.
I was told after 2 weeks of waiting that they were "unaware that my civic had a different wiring setup from the integra and that I had to pay an additional 400 dollars for wiring and wait an extra 2 to 3 weeks for a wiring conversion to be done to my dx and ls harnesses. Well, I said no. I looked around and found a shop(Raceworks.com) kinda nearby and took the harnesses there for the conversion. After another week of waiting for wiring, they sent it to the garage doing my swap so that they could finally finish it. Now here is where it gets terrible.
The harness they bulit is a piece of something worse than Shiznit.
The garage put the harness in and started the car. They are saying that it will idle perfectly and rev up to about 4000 rpm where it bogs and spits and everything other than run properly.
I was told the car is sending 2 engine codes. The first one is the map sensor and the second one is the crank sensor. They are not doing anything else on my car until i figure out what to do.
Does anyone out there know how to wire this swap?
Any help would be awesome.......thanks alot for reading all this junk........
