ok...head porting is a great means of getting MORE hp out of intakes, headers, and exhaust...not to flame on ya..but if you have no experience on doing head porting...your not gonna know what your doing and not going to get the true potential of your engine...just because the ports are almost the same size on your head as your intake and exhaust manifolds doenst mean they are "almost exact" doesnt mean there isnt room for improvement..yes..they are going to be almost exact, car manufactures make them that way...its called effecincy...if you look at after market headers like, SPOON, COMPTECH, MUGEN, APEXi etc...there ports are going to be bigger than your STOCK ports...the point of Porting your intake and exhaust is to get more air in, you dont want to polish your intake ports on your head due to if its to smooth the air and fuel wont mix properly, your exhaust you want to be as big as your exhaust header ports are no bigger, no smaller, and it really doesnt matter if its polished because its just gonna get dirty...there is 10-30hp avail in porting out a head on a HONDA, if its done correctly buy a trianed professional, go tell an engine builder that there is not much to gain from porting out your head...and he will mostlikely laugh at you...:madfawk:
