Since the weather has been a bit warmer, I've rewired the powered subwoofer to the battery. No more dimming at high volume, which I dought I'll have it at those levels anyways.

Yes, the 25th anniversary units were well built. It's a shame I couldn't get the 25th anniversay amp as well. The local shop wanted $599 for it and I couldn't justify paying that much nor could find a new unit online. I was told by Kenwood that the KAC-X542 was the same model, minus more expensive componants. So, for $212, it isn't that bad of a unit; it's still an excelon series.
