Were the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky 2006 models? I would have voted for them if they were up there.

I ended up voting for the Fit - I drove one and it was just fun. Lots of room, feels suprisingly sporty, great interior quality and space, and excellent fuel economy.

Runners-up:
MazdaSpeed3: A great car, but really just new powertrain on the 3. Wasn't revolutionary enough for me.
Infiniti G35: While an excellent car, too evolutionary from the ground-breaking original.
