Compared to a small displacement inline 4 cyl....yeah, it's big and heavy. As for choosing it, there are a SHITLOAD of parts for the 302. The aftermarket scene is ridiculous....parts are cheap, and it's cheap to make it go fast. I still want a foxbody gt/lx as a project car.
I used to have a 93 GT, was a fun car! IMO, it was the perfect size and weight for the power. I had a few mod's, it was plenty fast for me! Didn't handle anything like my integra though. Cracked the block, no antifreeze in PA ftl. I miss it
